I make the dough for this Apple Strudel based on my mother's strudel recipe. The dough is rolled out on a sheet and stretched until it is very thin before it gets stuffed with a special apple filling that includes, apples and breadcrumbs roasted in butter, a touch of cinnamon, and lemon zest. Enjoy this authentic apple strudel, it is absolutely delicious, low in calories and made with fresh apples from a Long Island apple farm.
