A true Austrian classic, this poppy cake (Mohntorte) is moist, almost juicy, with a slightly stony flavor of poppy seeds and blended hazelnuts. We topped it with a marzipan layer and lemon zest.
Ingredients: Poppy seeds, almonds, eggs, confectioner's sugar, lemon curd, marzipan (almonds, egg white, sugar).
